Hi everyone, it's Saturday and I'm still busy with my school.

This one is my english task about descriptive text.


Nami Island


       Nami Island (남이섬 종합 휴양지) is a small island 63 km east of Seoul, South Korea. It has beautiful panorama and popular because of a romance Korean drama, "Winter Sonata". At that time, the name Nami Island was taken from the name of a general who was known to be smart, kind and strong. He is General Nami.

Since childhood, he showed extraordinary intelligence. At the age of 17, to be exact, Nami has been appointed general. At the age of 25, he was again trusted to hold an important position. In this day and age, perhaps the position is the same as the Minister of Defense.

Unfortunately, Nami's cleverness made his partner jealous. They began to spread rumors that the general wanted to change the position of the king at that time. The king who knew about it immediately believed and sentenced him to death.

Not just a death sentence, but beheading and cutting off his hands and feet and then throwing them into the river. People who at that time were saddened by Nami's death looking for pieces of his body and burying him properly on Nami Island. To commemorate him, once a year a celebration is made on the island.

This place is also a favorite spot for Koreans on weekends. The island is very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as national holidays. The reason is that residents who live in urban areas are usually easily stressed because they do not have green space around them.

News item is a text which informs readers about events of the day. The events are considered newsworthy or important. It means if there is an important event that should be known by many people, then this event deserves news. Well, the news text is called the news item text.
