Music is all around us intersecting our lives, regulating our moods and bringing good vibes to those who are listening. It raises your mood, bringing excitement, or calming you down. It allows us to feel all the emotions that we experience in our lives.

Music is the language that everyone understands. It is an element that connects people around the globe regardless of their origin and cannot be stopped by borders or prejudices. It seems that making music is even one of the most basic human instincts.

Music can raise someone's mood, get them excited, or make them calm and relaxed. Music also - and this is important - allows us to feel nearly or possibly all emotions that we experience in our lives. The possibilities are endless.

Now, let's see the figure of speech that can be found in this song: Sour by The Rose.

“Sour candy” is actually a metaphor of the singer. This verse implies that the singer thinks he has become a good person, but he gets rejection from someone he loves (“But then you spit me out”) because he's not 'sweet'.

“I'll never know how sweet you taste” means the singer will never know how it feels like to be loved by his crush. “My heart's so sour without you” means his heart hurts because his crush doesn't love him back.

“When the teardrops touch my mouth” is an example of hyperbole. This explain how sad the singer is. “I taste the bitterness like you” is an example of simile. He describes his crush's personality like a bitter taste in your tongue.

Then the song continues with the repetition of the chorus part.
